Crop Image
Cropping removes everything outside a rectangle you choose. It is the fastest way to straighten a composition, cut out a logo, or hit the exact dimensions a platform demands.

How to crop image
- Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Set the crop area by entering the X and Y offset plus the width and height you want to keep.
- Check the preview, then download the cropped PNG.
Cropping vs resizing
Cropping throws pixels away at the edges and keeps the rest at their original size, so nothing is stretched or softened. Resizing keeps the whole picture but changes how many pixels it contains.
If you need a specific aspect ratio - a 1:1 avatar, a 16:9 cover - crop first to get the shape right, then resize to get the pixel dimensions right. Doing it the other way round distorts the image.
Frequently asked questions
Does my image leave my device?
No. The file is read and edited by your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no queue and no copy on a server.
Does cropping reduce the file size?
Usually yes, because there are fewer pixels to store. The saving is roughly proportional to how much area you removed.
Can I undo a crop?
Not within the tool - the download is a new file. Your original is untouched on your device, so just upload it again to start over.
