About Really Cool Online Tools

Really Cool Online Tools is a set of 53 small, focused utilities. Each one solves a single problem - convert this image, work out that margin, build this link - and gets out of the way.

Everything runs locally

The image tools use the Canvas API built into your browser. Your file is read from your device, processed on your own machine and handed back to you. Nothing is uploaded, which means there is no queue, no upload wait and no copy of your file sitting on a server.

The same is true of the text and developer tools. The calculators are plain arithmetic and show you the formula they use, so you can verify any result.

Free, with no catch

There is no account, no trial, no watermark and no upsell. The site is funded by display advertising, which is kept clearly separated from the tools themselves - an advertisement will never be disguised as a download button or a result. What we run, and what it means for your data, is set out in the privacy policy.

What is next

More tools are being added: PDF utilities, video and GIF conversion, unit converters and additional marketing calculators. In the meantime, you can browse everything available today.
