PDF to PNG Converter
PNG stores pixels losslessly, which keeps text and line art perfectly sharp. It is the format to pick when the page is a document rather than a photograph.

Why text pages need lossless output
Lossy compression saves space by discarding detail the eye is unlikely to miss. That assumption holds for foliage and skin tones and breaks for a hard black-to-white edge, which is what every letterform is made of.
The visible result is ringing: faint gray shadows tracing the outside of the characters. PNG has no such artefacts, so a diagram exported this way is indistinguishable from the original.
The cost is size. A text page as PNG is typically several times larger than the same page as JPG.
Keeping transparency
PNG carries an alpha channel, so a page with a transparent background stays transparent instead of being flattened onto white. That is what you want when a diagram has to sit on a colored slide.
It is also why PNG is the safer default for anything being placed into another design, where an unexpected white rectangle is immediately obvious.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my PNG so much bigger than the JPG version?
PNG is lossless and stores complete pixel data, while JPG discards information to save space. Several times larger is expected and is the price of perfect edges.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened and rewritten by your browser, so it never leaves your device. That matters for contracts, invoices and anything with personal data in it.
Is PNG better than JPG for scanned photos?
Usually not. A photographic scan has no hard edges to protect, so JPG gives you a much smaller file at the same apparent quality.
