Add Text to PDF
Most PDFs have no editable fields, which is why typing into them normally fails. This tool draws new text directly onto the page, so you can complete a form that was never built as one, add a note, or correct a date.

How to add text to pdf
- Upload the PDF and choose the page you want to write on.
- Type your text, then set the size and its horizontal and vertical position.
- Check the placement in the preview and download the result.
Adding text vs filling a form
If the PDF has interactive fields, use the PDF form filler instead. Real fields keep their structure, stay editable afterwards and line themselves up correctly.
This tool is for the other case: a flat page with nowhere to type. The text is painted at the coordinates you give it, so positioning is on you - which is why the preview matters.
Positioning without guesswork
Position is set as a percentage of the page rather than in millimetres, so it behaves the same on A4, US Letter and any other page size.
Work in small steps. Nudging the horizontal value by a few percent moves the text noticeably, and text placed past the edge simply will not appear in the output.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened and rewritten by your browser, so it never leaves your device. That matters for contracts, invoices and anything with personal data in it.
Can I edit the text that is already in the PDF?
No. This adds new text on top of the page. Changing existing words needs a full PDF editor, or going back to the source document.
Can I add text to several pages at once?
You choose one page per pass. Run the tool again on the downloaded file to write on another page.
